Philosophy

My approach to healthcare is shaped by years of formal education, tempered by lived experience. As a career Naval Aviator, I learned discipline, precision, and the importance of clear navigation—skills forged through flying and military service. Along the way, I witnessed firsthand how trauma can quietly limit our capacity to fully inhabit our lives and our health.

This journey began in Ohio, on the shores of Lake Erie. Growing up on the water instilled in me a deep respect for its life-giving properties and an intuitive sense of its restorative energy. In the Navy, I served as a navigator in the back seat of an F-14 Tomcat, spending countless hours charting courses—both literal and figurative.

My service carried me across the globe, where exposure to diverse cultures deepened my appreciation for the simple, time-tested ways healers approach illness and restoration. Through these experiences, I came to understand that there are many valid paths toward vitality, and that clarity often comes from simplification.

Water, navigation, and a grounded approach to health are central to my philosophy. As a Naturopathic Doctor and practitioner of East Asian Medicine, I see my role as that of a guide: something steady you can orient to amid the vast and often overwhelming sea of healthcare choices. Together, we identify what matters most, set a clear course, and navigate toward your version of wellness.

A meridian passage occurs when a celestial body crosses the observer’s meridian, reaching its highest point in the sky, its zenith. In the same way, my role is to serve as your compass, helping you find that point of greatest elevation, your own optimal state of health.

Where can I help you navigate today?
