Welcome! Or maybe welcome back? Either way, I’m glad you’re here. If you’ve read some of my past posts, you might have noticed they don’t always sound like me. That’s because I’ve been curating content to get the website moving—playing the SEO game. While that’s necessary, it can feel limiting. The content is good, but it often lacks passion. And passion is what drives real change.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the kind of conversations I want to have. Considering where we are in the world, I don’t want to just share information—I want to spark curiosity. That’s why I recorded the first episode of my limited-series podcast last Friday. The intent? To create a space for exploration. I could frame it in professional terms—“the overlap of conventional and alternative medicine” or “helping people create the conditions they need to thrive.” But at its core, it’s about something simpler: without curiosity, there is no change.
Let’s acknowledge something: change is hard. Research shows that cultural, physiological, and neurological factors all make it difficult. But difficult doesn’t mean impossible. If we know we need to change—and even know what we need to change—why is it still so hard? I don’t have a definitive answer, but I do know this: one of the greatest drivers of change is the desire to create something different.
As my therapist once told me, “You’re perfect the way you are… AND you must change.” This paradox reminds me of Tara Brach’s Radical Acceptance: embracing ourselves as we are, while also recognizing that transformation is necessary for growth. In my work as a naturopathic doctor, I see this truth play out every day in health and healing.
So, radically, you are perfect just as you are—whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, unhealthy habits, or a complex health challenge that no one seems to solve. Sitting with the parts of ourselves that we dislike isn’t just important—it’s revealing. These struggles highlight where the imbalances are. And for some, the greatest transformation isn’t about solving a problem, but in learning to hold space for it.
But let’s say you do want to solve the thing. What if the solution sounds crazy? What if it hasn’t been studied yet? What if society already dismisses it as nonsense? Or what if the answer simply hasn’t crossed your path yet? You’ll never know—unless you allow yourself to be curious. Unless you open doors to possibility. Because real change? It starts with curiosity.
That’s why I’m shifting gears. Moving forward, I’ll be sharing more personal content—stories, reflections, and insights that fuel the same curiosity I want to cultivate through my podcast. This journey isn’t just about information; it’s about transformation. My hope is that by leaning into curiosity together, we can create real, meaningful change—not just in our own lives, but in the world around us. So, let’s keep asking questions, exploring new ideas, and embracing the unknown. Who knows what we might discover?
